With both college admissions and the job market growing increasingly
competitive, the benefits of planning early become ever more apparent.
Taking this to heart, Genevra (Anna Ishida) and Joshua (Ben Ortega)
register their son for Bright Ideas, their town's premier nursery
school, immediately following his birth. When they can't seem to
get off the school's waiting list, they take matters into their
own bloodied hands. Starting out as an amusing satire, Bright Ideas
evolves into a stark black comedy about the lengths dedicated parents
are willing to go to orchestrate their children's future. The Shotgun
Players interpret this behavior with delirious excess.
